Michele M. Gold grew up in London and moved to Los Angeles in October 1991. Her mother was a Kindertransport survivor. Michele’s passion is educating about the Holocaust, in particular the experiences of Jewish children who escaped Nazi persecution by means of the Kindertransport

program. Michele is actively involved in numerous charitable organizations and is a volunteer educator at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust. She speaks to audiences throughout the

United States and worldwide.

About the author

Gabriella Y. Karin was born in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, and now lives in Los Angeles. By the age of fourteen, she had experienced the horrors of World War II and the Holocaust. For three years, she was hidden in a convent and then for nine months, Karol Blanar risked his life to provide her with a safe haven. After a career in the fashion industry, she began sculpting in clay and became an accomplished artist. Gabriella has turned her personal pain and suffering into works of art.
