Prof. Amnon Rubinstein is a law professor, publicist and novelist. He served as Education Minister under the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. In 2006, he received the Israel Prize in Law.
Alongside his prolific body of work in the subjects of society and law, he has also previously published five works of fiction.
The Black Sun is Rubinstein’s sixth novel and the first to be translated into English.

Hannah Hochner is a professional translator. She has worked for several Israeli news organizations and began her career at the Israel Government Press Office. She earned a BA in Middle East Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and has been translating books, articles and stories for over twenty years.
Hannah currently serves as the in-house translator at The Jerusalem Post. She lives in Modiin, Israel with her husband and three children.
